Description
Originally, a purely fractal-based piece, but it's had too much manipulation and addition done to it in GIMP and Photoshop to be classed as that any more.
My interpretation of a dryad... Originally, it looked like a benevolent, caring spirit, but I didn't think that was quite right. They were fiercely protective of their trees... So I did some more work around the eyes and the flames to make it appear more malevolent, and harsh. I think it came out rather well. A kick-ass forest spirit
I'd greatly appreciate your comments on how to improve the piece though.

I really like this one. The "face" has a very ethereal quality, which is most fitting for a spirit of the woods, I feel... while also retaining some semblance of a firey temper towards those that defile the woods. The texture around the outside reminds me of many leaves in Autumn. Classy piece...
