NetHack - The Sceptre Of Might

The second-to-last in the series of Nethack quest artifacts. This one gave me quite a bit of trouble, since it's the Caveman's quest artifact. This meant that I had to make it very primitive, but still with some magic behind it. It's a mace, so I created a simple but ornamented mace design in Bryce, using just spheres and tori, and gave it a rusty iron texture.

Eventually, I decided on an environment for it, and had it floating in a natural pool of water, with rocks all around. Making the water glow gave a lovely effect, so I kept it, and just had one other light source from one of the rocks itself. Some postwork had to be done in GIMP to tidy up some edges and shapes that looked wrong, as well as a little stuff round the water's edge.

Not the best of the thirteen, but not a bad effort
